After almost two months without a club, Ernst Middendorp will be back in the dugout post the FIFA international break after being unveiled at Cape Town Spurs as the club's new head coach.
Spurs have been without a coach since parting ways with Shaun Bartlett last month. Sean Connor, who is the club's technical director, and assistant coach Vasili Manousakis have been in charge on an interim basis.

It was revealed by the Siya crew yesterday that Spurs identified Middendorp as the man to turn the club's fortunes around after a difficult start to the season.
With the Mother City outfit struggling for results after winning only one game from 11, Middendorp has been appointed to improve the situation.

The experienced German mentor's first game in charge will be against Royal AM at the DHL Cape Town Stadium next Saturday, with another home fixture set to follow for him three days later against neighbours Stellenbosch FC at the same venue.
In his previous role, Middendorp was with Tanzanian top flight outfit Singida Fountain Gate where he resigned after only two weeks.
