As previously reported by the Siya crew, Kaizer Chiefs and Young Africans of Tanzania were interested in Cape Town City striker Khanyisa Mayo.
Recently Chiefs' Brand and Marketing Director Jessica Motaung stated that Amakhosi "wanted Mayo", but City coach Eric Tinkler has now told the Siya crew, that as a club, they were not worried with those reports.

Tinkler claims no team had "wanted" the striker. The coach was answering a new question from the Siya crew at the DStv Premiership launch.
"We were not worried. There was nothing to worry about," Tinkler told Soccer Laduma.
"There was no team that we knew who wanted Khanyisa (Mayo). So, there is nothing that had disturbed the player or the team as we prepare for the new season.
"He is focused on what he is doing and there has been nothing to distract him at all. The pre- season has been going on very well."
The difference between Tinkler's statement and Motaung's confirmed interest in Mayo, could be that the Cape Town City coach is meaning to say that there may have been interest from certain clubs but that those clubs probably didn't offer an amount that the club would've wanted.
Such that, if any club truly "wanted" Mayo then they would've made a serious offer to buy him.
It may also be expected that Mayo could attract clubs from abroad if he impresses in the upcoming season.
Tinkler then went on to discuss Cape Town City's positive preparations with Mayo in their squad.
"We are all looking forward to the new season. We want to do much better than we did last season.
"To do that we have to have a good start," Tinkler said.
Mayo was the joint league top goal-scorer with Mamelodi Sundowns' Peter Shalulile on 12 goals last season.
