Following a successful coaching clinic last month, Weinert Industries South Africa and their partner, German professional club DSC Arminia Bielefeld, proudly hosted the inaugural Weinert Youth Soccer Camp!
The highlight of the day was the Youth Camp, where 47 young players aged 13 to 15 participated in skill-building activities, mentorship sessions, and exciting drills designed to nurture their potential and love for the game. Alongside this, 15 local coaches received a practical, hands-on knowledge-sharing session, gaining valuable insights into modern techniques, mentorship strategies, and the transformative power of teamwork. The sessions were led by DSC Brand Ambassador and former Bafana Bafana player Delron Buckley and his coaching partner, Russel Thompson.
Local soccer clubs participating in the event went home with new soccer balls, bibs, and cones—crucial resources to support their training and growth. These much-needed resources address critical gaps in funding and equipment shortages faced by these communities.
"We are very proud to have a great partner like Weinert Industries, who elevates our projects to the next level. We are committed to supporting communities in South Africa, sharing our knowledge, and learning from the incredible people here. It's fantastic to see all our programs growing since we started in 2021, and we look forward to many more in the coming months," said Bielefeld CEO Christoph Wortmann.
Weinert Industries and DSC Arminia Bielefeld are committed to a long-term partnership aimed at creating meaningful opportunities in Madibeng and the surrounding communities. Through this collaboration, we plan to expand initiatives that empower youth and local soccer talent while fostering cross-cultural exchanges.
