Thabo Mnyamane Has Not Travelled With SuperSport United For Their CAF Semi-Final

SuperSport United have been forced to leave one of their star attackers behind, with Thabo Mnyamane failing to recover from his groin injury in time for their CAF semi-final. Read: SuperSport Jet Out For Huge CAF Clash The Siya crew reported earlier this week that the 25-year-old was a doubt for the CAF Confederation Cup clash against Club Africain in Tunisia, and with the team departing this morning, he wasn't on the flight. Mnyamane tweaked his groin while scoring the equaliser in the MTN8 final, as SuperSport went on to lift the trophy over the weekend, with his side having to finish the game with 10 men given the fact that they'd used all their substitutes. While it remains to be seen how long the former University of Pretoria man faces on the sidelines, it is certain that he will not be able to follow up his goal in the first leg against Africain with another goal in Tunisia. Meanwhile, there is a boost for Eric Tinkler in the fact that both Fagrie Lakay and Denwin Farmer have now both fully recovered, with the duo on the plane to Tunisia – via Dubai, this morning. Matsatsantsa have lost only one away game in the CCC this season in their march into the final four – back against Al Ahly Shendi in March and need a win or a score draw above 1-1 in order to progress to their first-ever CAF final.
