SuperSport United Still Have Morgan Gould Suspended For The CAF Confederation Cup

While Reneilwe Letsholonyane will return to contention for the second leg of SuperSport United's CAF Confederation Cup final, Morgan Gould will have to remain on the sidelines. Gould and 'Yeye' both missed the first leg defeat to TP Mazembe in Lubumbashi over the weekend after picking up yellow cards against Club Africain in the semi-final, while the likes of Teboho Mokoena, Thabo Mnyamane and others were missing through injury. Read: SuperSport Sign Talented Teen Tefu Mashamaite and Sipho Mbule deputised for the two suspended players, and it was Mbule who grabbed the all-important away goal for Matsatsantsa in the second half. It remains to be seen whether Eric Tinkler will adapt his side to bring Letsholonyane back, but Gould's extended suspension means that 'Masha' is likely to remain as Clayton Daniels' partner. Gould's current suspension is his second of the tournament having previously missed the second group stage encounter with CF Mounana, meaning that his punishment doubles due to receiving his fourth yellow of the campaign in Tunisia. Tinkler previously told the Siya crew that Mokoena could potentially face Mazembe in the second leg if he recovers in time, whereas Mnyamane will not be able to make it.
