SuperSport United Are Stuck At OR Tambo At Present

South Africa's CAF Confederation Cup finalists, SuperSport United, face a delay of around three hours as they wait around at OR Tambo airport before flying to the Democratic Republic of Congo. Read: SuperSport's Path To The CAF Final Matsatsantsa were due to fly out to Lubumbashi this morning as they look to prepare for Sunday's game against TP Mazembe in the first leg of the CCC final, but an issue with landing rights in the DRC means that they will now only land later in the afternoon. The club was told by SAA after they'd arrived at the airport this morning that they could be delayed by up to six hours before they are able to get on a flight to their destination, however, they have since been told that the matter has been sorted and that they will now fly at around 12h00. The delay will be something that will no doubt affect Eric Tinkler's plans for the crucial clash, although there has been some good news as Jeremy Brockie arrived in time from Peru and will join the team in the DRC. SuperSport face Mazembe at Stade TP Mazembe on Sunday at 15h30 and will be hoping to get a good result to take home to Tshwane for the second leg next weekend.
