Cape Town City's CAF Confederations Cup opponents for the preliminary round have been revealed, with Head Coach Benni McCarthy's side set to make their debut on the African continent.
City ended off their 2016/17 Absa Premiership campaign in third place on the league standings last season, which meant an automatic qualification for the CAF Confederations Cup competition.

However, the Mother City-based club will first have to play a two-legged tie in the preliminary round of the competition and have been drawn against Young Buffaloes FC from Swaziland.
Head Coach McCarthy will now be set to prepare his forces to battle beyond the South African borders and will need to submit his preliminary registration list of 30 players before December 31st.
The head coach will thereafter be given until January 15 next year in order to make the final changes to the list, which means that the club will look to quickly wrap up any incoming or outgoing transfers in the January window period.
