Orlando Pirates Players Worried About Tunisia Terror Attacks

News reaching the Siya crew is that Orlando Pirates are concerned about the political situation in Tunisia as they prepare for the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup final.

A State of Emergency was declared by the nation's President, Beji Caid Essebsi, on Tuesday after an explosive struck a bus carrying members of the presidential guard in Tunis. At least 12 people were killed in the incident.

The Buccaneers are scheduled to depart for Tunisia on Thursday (today) for the second leg tie against Etoile du Sahel, to be played in Sousse on Sunday.

However, Siya sources close to the Bucs camp have indicated that the situation is a matter of concern for both the players and the team management.

According to the source, the the club is monitoring the situation closely and is in contact with the South African government. The source explained that they are being advised by government  on the issue.

Despite Bucs' concern, CAF indicated yesterday that the second leg final will go ahead as planned.

Pirates are expected to leave for Tunisia today and will fly via Dubai. On their arrival in Tunis on Friday afternoon the team will have to travel by bus for two hours to Sousse.
