Pirates' players leave South Africa today to tackle their final continental hurdle of the season as they look to beat ESS to the 2015 CCC title in Sousse on Sunday afternoon.
The Tunisian side have won every single home game in the CCC this year, keeping five clean sheets from seven games, and haven't lost at home in all competitions since November last year, however the Buccaneers have lost just once away from home and have scored in every match.
Madlala is confident of Bucs' success, saying in a press release, "On behalf of the clubs and our members, we would like to wish Orlando Pirates the best of luck in the CAF Confederations Cup match in Tunisia. We know it is not going to be easy for them but they have shown a resilient fighting spirit throughout this campaign. I'm therefore confident that they can come back home with the trophy."
She went on to say, "As the PSL, we have done well in establishing a strong league financially. What we need now is to be competitive and dominant with our football within the African continent. We must support our clubs playing in CAF competitions. I know this is something very close to the heart of the PSL chairman, Dr Khoza and the Executive Committee."
