Head Coach Pitso Mosimane is set to construct a new CAF Champions League squad, as most of the players who won the competition in 2016 and took part in this year's campaign, may not be part of the mentor's setup in the future.
Sundowns have until December 31 to submit their 30-man CAF Champions League squad list, while January 15 is the deadline day for final amendments.

The likes of Themba Zwane and Tiyani Mabunda are currently in the final year of their contracts and Sundowns are still looking to wrap up contract negotiations in order to secure their services beyond the 2017/18 campaign, where the Brazilians will continue their challenge in the CAF Champions League.
However, on the other hand, it seems that Khama Billiat and Leonardo Castro, who were detrimental in Sundowns' lifting the Champions League trophy in 2016, will be completing a move away from the Chloorkop-based club during the January transfer window next year.

Thabo Nthethe, Siyanda Zwane and Asavela Mbekile are also players who were part of their CAF Champions League winning squad last year - who are now linked with an exit from the club.
