This weekend, the Red Devils will renew their continental rivalry against Masandawana when they face off in the first leg of their final-four encounter in Pretoria. However, it seems that the Club of the Century are already making preparations for the return leg.
Earlier this month, it was revealed that the record Champions League winners had asked the Egyptian government if they could have full capacity for the second leg of their match-up against Ka Bo Yellow.
Football matches in Egypt are not typically allowed to have full attendance, but Ahly made the request on the premise that their semi-final against the South African outfit was a massive encounter, and according to Kooora, the government has allowed Ahly to fill up the Cairo International Stadium—such is the occasion.
The same report claims that the North African giants have taken the time to thank the Minister of Interior, Mahmoud Tawfik, and all the security personnel involved in making the request a possibility.
Last season’s second-leg semi-final against TP Mazembe also had full attendance in the Egyptian capital—a match they eventually won 3-0—and the Ahly stakeholders will be hoping a similar outcome can occur when they face off against Miguel Cardoso’s charges.

The 44-time Egyptian champions have a better head-to-head record in knockout-stage Champions League ties against Sundowns than what the Betway Premiership table-toppers do, having beaten them four out of the five times they have met in the elimination rounds.
