Teams: Wydad Casablanca v Al Ahly
Date: 17 October 2020
Venue: Stade Mohamed V
Time: 21h00 (South African time)
Wydad Casablanca play host to Pitso Mosimane's Al Ahly SC in the CAF Champions League semi-final first-leg at the Stade Mohamed V on Saturday evening.
Mosimane have overseen three matches since ascending the reigns at the Egyptian giants, with two wins and a draw in the Egyptian Premier League and knows the Moroccans very well.
Ahly booted Mamelodi Sundowns, then coached by Mosimane in the quarter-finals this year while Wydad ousted Tunisians Etoile du Sahel and just lost out on the Botola title.
Good news for Mosimane is that captain and goalkeeper Mohamed El-Shenawy, Mahmoud Kahraba and Aliou Badji are back from injury.
The last time Ahly and Wydad did battle, the Moroccans were 2-1 winners on aggregate in the 2017 semi-finals en-route to lifting their second continental crown.
