Zamalek booked a spot in the CAF Champions League final against Pitso Mosimane's Al Ahly after thrashing Raja Casablanca 5-1 on aggregate in the semi-finals.
The Egyptian side had the slight advantage after winning the first-leg 1-0 in Casablanca a fortnight ago.
Raja took the initiative to attack in the early stages and Mohsine Moutouali came close to breaking the deadlock for the visitors in the 25th minute with a strike from a difficult angle that was saved by goalkeper Mohamed Gabal in the top corner.
The Moroccan side kept applying the pressure but they were reduced to long range efforts, as Moutouali came close again with another long range effort just before the break that was smothered by Gabal.
Ben Malango eventually broke the deadlock for Raja two minutes from the break with a deflected shot from the edge of the box that wrong-footed Gabal, making it 1-0 for the visitors and 1-1 on aggregate.
Ferjani Sassi brought Zamalek back into the contest with the equaliser on the hour-mark on the night after scoring with a powerful strike from outside the box and gave the Egyptian side a 2-1 lead on aggregate.
The game was opening up in the closing phase and Mostafa Mohamed sealed a final spot for Zamalek with two goals within three minutes in the tail end, first scoring with a strike from the centre of the box and a free header soon after.
Achraf Bencharki added salt to wound after making it 4-1 for the White Knights in stoppage time with a lovely chipped effort after going through on goal on a counter-attack as Zamalek comfortably booked a spot in the final against arch-rivals and neighbors, Al Ahly.
