Pitso Mosimane's Al Ahly opened their CAF Champions League group stage campaign with a 3-0 victory over Al-Merrikh on Tuesday evening.
The Red Devils were coming off the back of a Club World Championship, where they managed to finish third.
Following the play-off win last week, Mosimane recalled Mahmoud Wahid, Kahraba, Junior Ajay and Aliou Dieng came into Al Ahly's starting lineup.
Chances were few and far between in the opening half, with Al-Merrikh getting plenty of men behind the ball.
After a scoreless first half, Al Ahly would eventually take the lead on 57 minutes when Mohamed Hany whipped in an excellent ball for Mohamed Magdi to head home.
Five minutes later, it was 2-0 when Kahraba's left-footed shot from the centre of the box found the back of the net after he was assisted by Ajayi with a through ball.
The final nail in the coffin was applied with 21 minutes left of the contest by Walter Bwalya after he was fed in by Amr El Soleya.
