It's been a tough group stage for Gavin Hunt's side as they went three games without scoring and lost two of their opening four games, with this weekend's 2-1 defeat to Horoya AC in Conakry proving to be the final nail in their coffin.
It was not a good day at the office for Wits as a mistake allowed Dramane Nikièma to open the scoring early in the game, while Lehlohonolo Nonyane's first-half sending off shortly after Hotto's impressive equaliser made things even harder.

It means that the final game for Wits against Djoliba of Mali is a dead rubber for both sides having failed to reach the group stages, with Hunt likely to give a runout to some of his fringe players as he turns his focus to the Absa Premiership once again.
