The defender, who captained his country to World Cup glory in 2014, believes that there is no reason to debate Guardiola's style of coaching - arguing that his tactics have proven successful for the Bavarians.
"These discussions are completely unnecessary," he told Marca.
"The system has worked very well for over 18 months now, and there have been only slight exceptions."
The 31-year-old full-back also touched on this season's Champions League campaign, adding that he believes the two Spanish giants are up there with the favourites, as well as Jose Mourinho's Chelsea.
"Real Madrid may have lost 4-0 to Atlético recently but they still look to be going really well, especially in the Champions League," he added.
"Barcelona are always dangerous and so are Chelsea as the Premier League leaders. Those teams (including Real Madrid) are the big guns."
Lahm has been a key figure in Bayern's team for a number of years, playing 419 competitive games and scoring 13 goals.
Former Barcelona player and coach, Guardiola, has won the Bundesliga, the DFB-Pokal, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup during his time at Bayern so far.
