Venue: Anfield

Jordan Henderson overcome his injury to take his place in the midfield alongside Guinea international Naby Keita and Georginio Wijnaldum, who has been heavily linked with Barcelona.

The Reds got off to an early start after being awarded a penalty for Robin Koch's handball in the box, which allowed Salah to step up and smash home from 12-yards for the opening goal.

The visitors weren't behind for too long as Kalvin Philipps' long ball found Jack Harrison, who skipped two Liverpool defenders before firing past Alisson Becker.

With the game being played a high tempo, Liverpool restored their lead on 20 minutes when Virgil van Dijk nodded home Andrew Robertson's corner at the far post.

Van Dijk then went from hero to villain in the matter of 10 minutes as his poor clearance played slipped in Patrick Bamford, who slotted beyond the on-rushing Alisson after missing a big chance earlier.

Leeds' joy only lasted for three minutes before Salah put the home side back in the lead with a thumping strike from 16-yards after Leeds failed to clear.

With Leeds growing stronger the second half, Jurgen Klopp opted to introduce Fabinho for Keita just before the hour mark while Leeds threw on club-record signing Rodrigo a few minutes later.

The visitors got their reward in the 66th minute as Helder Costa's pass found Mateusz Klich, who controlled well before volleying into the far corner from close range to level matters for a third time.

Van Dijk had the ball in the back of the net with 10 minutes remaining, but the effort was ruled out for a foul on Koch in the build-up.

However, the Reds were awarded their second penalty with four minutes left on the clock following Rodrigo's foul on Fabinho. Salah stepped up and made no mistake once again to seal the win for the Reds and his first hat-trick of the season.
