Atletico top the standings heading into this afternoon's clash, two points ahead of Real Madrid and Barcelona who sit in second and third respectively.
There will also be a reunion on the cards at the Camp Nou as Atletico's top scorer Luis Suarez will feature against his former side for the first time after missing the reverse fixture after contracting Covid-19.
Suarez has been one of the standout perfomers in LaLiga, as he sits fourth in the Golden Boot chart with 19 goals and has been vital to Atletico's title charge.
At the other end, Suarez's good friend Lionel Messi looks set to claim another Golden Boot as he leads the way with 28 goals in 32 appearances.
Another Atletico star who is expected to have a big say this afternoon will be Marco Llorente, who has taken his game to another level this season under Diego Simeone.
The Former Real Madrid starlet is the highest-scoring midfielder in the league with 12 goals while he has also contributed with 10 assists.
