AmaZulu's current situation has been under the spotlight as the team has been struggling for consistent results in recent matches.
Following their 2-1 defeat against SuperSport United last weekend, Usuthu are 13th on the DStv Premiership log with 29 points from 26 matches.
Former AmaZulu star Tsweu Mokoro is concerned about the team's situation on the log after having done well previously since president Sandile Zungu took over.
The Good
"I think Cobra (Ayanda Dlamini) is a good coach and the team is in good hands under him. He is a young coach and is still learning and he will need all the experienced players from AmaZulu to help him to achieve what he wants to achieve. For me, he has done well so far since being given the coaching reins although I feel that the team could have scored more goals. Overall, I am happy with the club's decision to give him a chance to coach the team and I think he will do well," said Mokoro.
The Bad
"AmaZulu started the season well in my opinion as they were playing some good football but I am shocked that their form has dropped during these latter stages of the season. I think the problem is with the players and they are not consistent. Players will do well in two or three games and then the form drops. I wish the players can focus all the time and the team's form would be on the same level at all times," he said.
The Ugly
"Looking at AmaZulu, I don't think the players are together in how they do things. Those players need to sit down and discuss how they would want to do things and everything would be fine. The way I see it, and from a distance, everyone is doing their own thing," added Chippa, as Mokoro is known in football circles.
Vision 2031 Alive
"I strongly believe in AmaZulu president Sandile Zungu's Vision 2032. I don't think he is into football to make money but he has the big plans for the club. I am for the club under his presidency and I think the future is bright for AmaZulu. AmaZulu is a big team and he wants to take the club up there for everyone to recognize it," concluded Mokoro.
