Bongani Zungu, known to fans as 'Ben 10,' has vowed to rediscover his best form after securing a deal with AmaZulu.
The talented midfielder, who had been without a club for six months following his departure from Mamelodi Sundowns, surprised many in the football world when he signed for Usuthu.
Zungu has described his first few days at AmaZulu as positive, expressing gratitude for the warm welcome he has received from the club's fans, staff, and teammates. The 31-year-old is eager to get back to his peak performance as he aims to help the club achieve success this season.
"[It has been] amazing, as I said, from the first day when I arrived. The people, the AmaZulu fans, were very happy. They showed me nothing but love, very excited, motivating me to try and help the team. Everyone, the president, the coaches, my teammates are very happy that I'm here, and that obviously plays a major role in my head," Zungu shared in a recent interview.

The midfielder acknowledged the importance of regaining his full fitness and confidence. He remains focused on getting back to his best, insisting that when he is happy and fully fit, he is capable of achieving great things on the pitch.
"I'm here to work and I'm here to try and get back to 'Ben 10' because when I'm happy and I'm fully fit, I can do anything because I've got quality," he said.
Zungu highlighted the support he's receiving from the club's physical trainers, nutritionists, and dieticians, who are working closely with him to ensure he reaches peak condition. While the journey to full fitness may take time, he is determined to put in the work required to perform at his best.
"Yeah, well, one day at a time. I was doing some sessions, but it's different when you are alone. But the guys here, the physical trainers, the nutritionists, dieticians, and stuff, they're there for me to try and get me to the best shape possible because that's my aim. So that's why I'm here, to be happy and just enjoy football," Zungu added.
