Zimbabwe players refused to board their plane on Thursday night, demanding $500 per player allowance before they would make their way to Malawi.
This was another set-back as Zimbabwe prepares to face Malawi in the Group L Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers at Kamuzu Stadium, in Blantyre tomorrow.
A Soccer Laduma source in Harare told the Siya crew that it has left the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) in a tricky situation - as they could not afford the demands.
"The drama continues in Zimbabwe as last night the plane that the players were supposed to board for Malawi left empty for Blantyre, as the players demanded $500 which the association could not afford.
"It a very tricky situation right now as the game is tomorrow afternoon," the source concluded.
