Ivory Coast coach Herve Renard has described Wilfried Bony as the new Didier Drogba following his brace in the 3-1 victory over Algeria.

The 26-year-old, who joined Manchester City for £28 million this January, has scored his first two goals in this year's Africa Cup of Nations to help his side qualify for the semi-final.
"Didier Drogba is not there because he decided to stop his international career," Renard said in a news conference, as quoted by ESPN.
"But we are lucky. Because when you lost Didier Drogba and you got Wilfried Bony, I think the Ivory Coast is very lucky to have another big centre-forward.
"I think you very well know the statistic that he was the best goal-scorer in England in 2014, so he also is big player."
Overall, Bony has scored 11 goals in 36 games for his national team.

Drogba, meanwhile, is still his country's all-time record scorer with 65 goals in 104 games, but retired after the World Cup.
