Sudan Coach Believes His Are In Better Physical Condition Than Bafana

Sudan head coach, Mohamed Abdallah Ahmed, says that his side are in much better physical condition to face Shakes Mashaba's Bafana Bafana this time. The Falcons of Jediane know that they need to beat South Africa in their African Cup of Nations clash tomorrow afternoon if they're to keep up any hopes of reaching the finals in Equatorial Guinea, and will be going all out for the three points. The last time the two sides met, in Khartoum back in September, Mashaba's side ran away with 3-0 victory, kick starting the head coach's impressive start to his current tenure, a start that has seen him go four games unbeaten. This time, however, Ahmed says that Sudan will pose a bigger threat to their South African counterparts. Speaking to the media after their final training session today, the Sudanese head coach said, "We know that our team have only one chance now. Now we are well prepared to play Bafana, before we weren't. We didn't have good preparation, we had a stop because of our league and Ramadan, so now we're in better physical condition. "We respect Bafana, they play good football and lead the group so we have to respect them." Around 30,000 tickets are believed to have been sold for the game at Moses Mabhida Stadium so far, with the players no doubt keen to see even more tickets sold over the next few hours.
