Former Zimbabwean international, Robson Muchichwa is happy with how his team played against Algeria last weekend, but says that they need to improve on that performance if they want to reach the second round of this year's AFCON tournament.
The former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder discussed his homeland's 2-2 draw against Algeria last Sunday and said that he believes that, while the team played well, there were some aspects of their game that left room for improvement.
"For me, I think we performed well so far," he said. "And I think the team has played well. They just need to sort out, tactically, the way that they sort out what didn't work (against Algeria). If they come under pressure at the back and they play it short, they're going to lose the ball and concede a goal."

The 41-year-old went on to say that Zimbabwe's first-half performance was closer to what will be expected of the team in their games to come. He then added that, if the team hopes to progress in the tournament, they need to make sure that they keep fine-tuning their game.
"But, if they can take the performance from the first-half then they can get the wins that they need (to get to the next round)," he continued. "In every game, they need to get better to get to the second round. If you don't get better, how can you expect to progress?"
Zimbabwe take on Senegal in their second group fixture in the tournament at 21:00 tonight in the Stade de Franceville.
