Gabon have been chosen as the hosts for the 31st African Cup of Nations in 2017, meaning that they will play host to Africa's showpiece twice in the space of five years.
It was announced at CAF headquarters in Cairo today that the Gabonese had beaten off competition from both Algeria and Ghana in their attempts to host the tournament.
Bafana have been drawn against Cameroon, Gambia and Mauritania in Group M of the AFCON qualifying groups, and will begin their attempts to make the tournament in June.
The four venues used at Gabon 2017 will be in Libreville (45,000), Franceville (25,000), Port Gentil (20,000), Oyem (20,000), with the last two stadiums set to be completed in August of next year.
