Today, at 14h30, Coach Shakes Mashaba will announce his 23-man squad for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations finals, which will be hosted by Equatorial Guinea from January 17 to February 8.

Mashaba will make today's announcement at the SAB World of Beer in Newtown Johannesburg, ahead of the international friendly against Zambia on January 4, whereafter the national team will jet out to Central Africa.
The coach has explained that they will camp in Gabon, leading up to the continental showpiece, with Gabon neighboring Equatorial Guinea. Mashaba told the Siya crew that the climatic conditions are similar to that of Equatorial Guinea and that they want to acclimatise while there.
"We have decided that we will leave after the friendly game against Zambia and camp in Gabon. It will be a good camp for us and we will see what we can do, play some friendly games there and get used to the weather as well," the coach observed.

Bafana will take on Cameroon and Gabon, on 11 and 14 January, in their final two preparation matches ahead of their Afcon adventure.
