Influential midfielder and Captain, Youssouf Mulumbu, looks set to miss the clash for Congo, while defender Gabriel Zakuani is also out with a sprained ankle.
Cote d'Ivoire, meanwhile, booked their place in the last four with an impressive 3-1 win over the number one ranked country in Africa, Algeria.
This will be the first time these two nations have met in the knockout stage of the competition, while Congo ran out 3-1 winners in their last Afcon meeting in 2002 in the group stages.
