AFCON 2015 Qualifying Round Up

The Ivory Coast were in a rampant mood as they thrashed Sierra Leone 5-1 in their Afcon clash at the Stade Felix Houphouet Boigny, Abidjan. Kolo Toure gave the Elephants the lead after just seven minutes, turning home a cross from Max Gradel, before the visitors leveled matters in the 25th through Mustapha Bangoura. Salomon Kalou restored the Ivorian's lead minutes after restart, while Gradel added a third in the 52nd. The scoring was not done just yet, as Gervinho got in on the act on the hour mark, before Kalou bagged his fourth goal in qualifying in the 73rd minute. The Elephants are second in Group D, a point behind leaders Cameroon, who taken Congo DR on Saturday. Meanwhile, Tunisia became the latest team to book spot at next year's Afcon, after they drew 0-0 with Botswana on Friday. The draw sees The Carthage Eagles move top of Group G with 11 points, four points ahead of Senegal, who play Egypt on Saturday.
