Guinea face an uphill task when the take on Ghana in the quarterfinals of the 2015 African Cup of Nations at the Estadio De Malabo on Sunday.
The match is scheduled to get underway at 18h00.
Ghana qualified for the quarterfinals after finishing second in Group C behind Algeria.
Ghana suffered a defeat in their first match of Afcon 2015, going down 2-1 to Senegal, but bounced back with a 1-0 win over Algeria.
Ghana's last match in Group C saw them come from behind to beat South Africa 2-1.
Guinea, on the other hand, were very fortunate to make it to the quarterfinals of Afcon 2015 after a draw of lots saw them picked ahead of Mali.
Guinea finished on three points in Group D behind Cote d'Ivoire, which was the same as third place Mali, hence, the drawing of lots to decide the quarterfinal spot.
Guinea played to three 1-1 draws in Group D against Cote d'Ivoire, Cameroon and Mali respectively.
There is a rich history between Ghana and Guinea as they have face each other in 17 official matches since 1970.
Ghana have had the upper hand and won eight games to Guinea's three while six have ended in draws.
