Senegal coach Aliou Cisse has officially named his 2022 FIFA World Cup squad, with a decision finally having been made on Sadio Mane following his injury.
Official: Portugal Announce World Cup Squad, PSG Star Left Out!
This year's Africa Cup of Nations champions have confirmed the inclusion of the Bayern Munich winger in their squad for the tournament, despite the recent leg injury he sustained in the Bundesliga that looked set to rule him out for several weeks.
Mane, 30, had to be taken off after 20 minutes in Bayern's midweek 6-1 win over Werder Bremen, leading to serious concerns that he would not be involved in Qatar.
The former Liverpool superstar, however, will be making the trip to the Middle East, as confirmed in Cissie's 26-man selection that also includes Chelsea duo Kalidou Koulibaly and Edouard Mendy.
