The 35-year-old will miss his fourth game in a row after another COVID-19 test came back positive on Tuesday.
As a consequence, he will not be able to meet longstanding rival Messi for their highly-anticipated reunion.
Juventus enter the game on the back of three draws in their past five outings across all competitions, but did beat Dynamo Kiev in their Group G opening fixture last week.
Barca, meanwhile, suffered a 3-1 defeat to bitter rivals Real Madrid in their El Clasico on the weekend, so they will hope to end their mini-crisis, which has seen them win just one of their past four matches.

Their sole victory was a convincing 5-1 thumping of Ferencvarosi that saw them climb to the summit of Group G.
Juventus are still unbeaten at home against the Blaugrana, winning two and drawing three of their contests. Overall, however, Barcelona hold the better head-to-head record after registering four wins, four draws and three defeats.
Here is how they line up:
Juventus: Szczesny; Cuadrado, Merih Demiral, Bonucci, Danilo; Kulusevski, Bentancur, Rabiot, Chiesa; Dybala, Morata.
Barcelona: Neto; S. Roberto, Lenglet, Araujo, J. Alba; Pjanic, De Jong, Pedri, Messi, Dembélé; Griezmann.
