UEFA Champions League Full Time: Sevilla 3-3 Liverpool Date: 21 November 2017 Venue: Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Liverpool squandered a three-goal lead to draw 3-3 with Sevilla in their UEFA Champions League Group E match on Tuesday evening. The draw sees the Reds on nine points from five matches, followed by Sevilla in second place on eight points. Liverpool got off to the perfect start when Roberto Firmino turned home a corner-kick with a powerful finish in the second minute of the match, 1-0. In the 19th minute Sevilla almost pulled level when Nolito found himself in space inside the box, but he saw his low 14-yard effort superbly saved by Loris Karius onto the post. Three minutes later, Liverpool doubled their lead when Sadio Mane headed home another precise corner-kick, 2-0. On the half hour, the English side found their third goal when an initial shot from Mane rebounded into the path of Firmino and he duly slotted home from close range, 3-0. Sevilla tried to find their way back into the match, but went into the half time break trailing by three goals. The hosts came out firing in the second half and pulled a goal back in the 52nd minute when Wissam Ben Yedder powerfully headed home a well-placed free-kick, 3-1. On the hour mark, Ben Yedder scored his second goal from the penalty spot after Liverpool's Alberto Moreno gave away a foul inside the box, 3-2. Sevilla threw players forward in the final half hour, but Liverpool defended stoically and it appeared they would hold on for the win. However, it was not to be with Guido Pizarro equalising for Sevilla in the 93rd minute of the match with a volley from 12-yards out, 3-3.
