Real Madrid rallied back from two goals down to secure a 2-2 draw with Borussia Monchengladbach in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night.
Zinedine Zidane made just one change from the El Clasico win over FC Barcelona, with Lucas Vazquez replacing the injured Nacho at right-back.
Los Blancos dominated the early exchanges and should have gone ahead on 16 minutes when Vazquez picked out Karim Benzema, who blazed over the target from close range.
With Real seemingly in control, it was the hosts who broke the deadlock on 33 minutes as Marcus Thuram found the top corner with a superb first-time finish from Alassane Plea's pass.
The Spanish champions went close restoring matters five minutes later, but Gladbach shot-stopper Yann Sommer produced a good save to keep out Marco Asensio.
Real did not get the start they desired in the second half and fell further behind when Thuram completed his brace with simple finish from close range after Thibaut Courtois saved Plea's initial effort.
Zidane responded with a double change for the final 20 minutes, with Vinicius Junior and Toni Kroos making way for Eden Hazard and Luka Modric.
The visitors pulled a goal back with three minutes left on the clock as Casemiro's knockdown found Benzema, who acrobatically fired past Sommer.
Los Blancos managed to secure the point in second-half stoppage time as Sergio Ramos' downward header picked out Casemiro for the first-time finish.
