Pep Guardiola Makes Huge Neymar Claim

Pep Guardiola Makes Huge Neymar Claim

Ahead of Manchester City's UEFA Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain tonight, Pep Guardiola has made a huge claim about Neymar.

The two-time UCL winner will take charge of his first Champions League semi-final as coach of Manchester City when they take on 2019/20 runners-up PSG in the first leg of their semi-final on Wednesday.

Guardiola seems to be fond of his opponents, praising Neymar in particular, insisting that his former side FC Barcelona would have "won two or three more" UCL titles had the Brazilian stayed at the Camp Nou.

"All the players were open-mouthed," Guardiola said, as per the Daily Mail, recalling the year he first heard of the Brazilian winger when Barcelona faced Santos at the 2011 FIFA Club World Cup.

"What a player. He is a joy to watch. I enjoy it as a spectator. He has Brazil on his shoulders, No. 10 in Brazil is not easy to wear.

"He helps to make football better. I'm pretty sure if he had stayed at Barcelona, they would've won two or three more Champions Leagues."

Neymar has scored 84 goals and assisted another 50 strikes in 109 appearances for PSG, and has netted six times in this season's UCL campaign so far.
