Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo has addressed Mauricio Pochettino's future at the club following their exit from the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night.
PSG crashed out of the tournament after suffering a 3-1 loss to Real Madrid courtesy of a Karim Benzema hat-trick.
The runaway Ligue 1 log leaders had a slender 1-0 advantage heading into the Santiago Bernabeu clash, and would go into the break leading 1-0 after a goal by Kylian Mbappe in the 39th minute.
The Parisians capitulated in the second half, however, as France hitman Benzema found the back of the net three times to seal Real's passage to the quarter-finals.
With many believing Pochettino could now potentially be sacked by PSG as a result, Leonardo discussed the Argentine's future at the club after the match.
"We shouldn't throw everything in the bin. We shouldn't start from scratch after every loss," Leonardo told RMC Sport.
"The objective is to win the Champions League, and until half-time we were fine. We have to look to improve this team and maintain morale to play in Ligue 1 and to finish the season well.
"We should stay together. Pochettino is still part of the project for this season. It's not the time to think about that."
Reports in France suggest that both Pochettino and Leonardo could pay the price following Les Parisiens' latest failure to capture what now seems to be a very elusive first Champions League title.
