According to Sport, the club has decided to put former Manchester City centre-back Eric Garcia up for sale ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.
The 22-year-old has found regular game time difficult to come by since returning to his boyhood club in 2021, making just 24 appearances in LaLiga this past season.
Garcia, a 19-time Spain international, was considered a priority signing two years ago when he rejoined Barcelona as a free agent.
The ball-playing defender initially left the club as a teenager to sign for City, before eventually going on to make 35 appearances for the Citizens' senior side.
His growth appears to have stagnated since being re-signed by the Spanish giants, however, with Andreas Christensen and Ronald Araujo considered Xavi's favourite central defensive pairing.

Transfermarkt values Garcia at just €10 million (R200 million), a figure far from the €400 million (R8 billion) release clause Barcelona included in his initial five-year deal.
