The Parisian, who has been capped 11 times for France, leaves the Villans after only one season in England's top division, having contributed to an impressive 19 goals in 54 appearances.
Diaby now joins compatriots Karim Benzema and N'Golo Kante at the Saudi giants, who followed up their 2022/23 title triumph with a disappointing fifth-place finish.
The winger becomes one of the newest high-profile stars in the Saudi Pro League, a division that has welcomed many top footballers in recent seasons.
