Belgium's superstar captain Kevin De Bruyne has responded to questions about whether or not he will be calling time on his international career following their latest UEFA European Championship exit.

At Manchester City, the sensational playmaker has seen incredible success, having won a remarkable 18 trophies and amassed a miraculous number of assists during his nine years at the Etihad Stadium.
However, for all the trophies he has accumulated and the success he has seen at club level, he has struggled to replicate these achievements at international level.
The 33-year-old was an integral member of Belgium's so-called "Golden Generation" that included the likes of Eden Hazard and Romelu Lukaku, but the furthest they went in a major competition was the semi-finals of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

On Monday night, the Drongen native suffered more international heartbreak as the Red Devils were knocked out the EUROs at the Round of 16 stage by France following a 1-0 loss.
After the match, the former Wolfsburg and Chelsea playmaker was asked if he would continue with the national team.
He responded by saying, as per ESPN: "It's too early to answer. Let me process this loss. It's a been a very long season. I need to rest my body. I will make my decision after the summer."
De Bruyne first played for Belgium in 2010, and remains a key player for the team. Their head coach, Domenico Tedesco, stated as such, but he seems unsure as to whether or not his star player will continue with the national side.

"He knows how important he is," Tedesco said of De Bruyne's response to questions over his future with Belgium.
"He doesn't need my opinion about it because he knows. Immediately after the game, it's difficult to ask these kind of questions to Kevin."
