Despite helping Los Blancos to a 2-0 away win over Real Sociedad in LALIGA on Saturday, it was the Brazil international's actions that stole the headlines.
The 24-year-old held his finger to his mouth to the home crowd in San Sebastian as he celebrated his converted penalty, behaviour ex-Real player Pedja Mijatovic believes was completely needless.
"He throws stones on his own roof," he said, speaking on Carrusel Deportivo.
"He throws stones and more knowing everything that is happening around him.
"He should take this step, calm down a little. We were very happy with the goal, but then we were very disappointed with the celebration.
"Why do you need this? They are very harmed. I talk to a lot of Madridistas: we all love him, but we're upset with his behaviour."
The winger has become somewhat a divisive figure in Spain amid concerns surrounding his form.
Vinicius recently upset some Spanish citizens after he suggested that the 2030 FIFA World Cup in Spain should be moved if the country does not solve its racial issues.
