With Real Madrid having struggled to maintain their free-scoring form following the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, the LaLiga giants have now reportedly turned their attention to a 19-year-old wonderkid to solve their goalscoring concerns.

Ronaldo's departure to Juventus last season coincided with a dip in form for Los Blancos, which resulted in the club sacking two managers during the 2018/19 campaign.
Club legend Zinedine Zidane has since returned to the Santiago Bernabeu, and currently has his side sitting at the top of the LaLiga table, thanks in no small part to the form of veteran French striker Karim Benzema, who has scored six goals in seven league appearances thus far.

Benzema is 31 years old, however, and, alongside the likes of Gareth Bale, represents an ageing attack for Real. This concern has been recognised by the club, who have begun to plan for the future, as is evidenced by the signings of youngsters Luka Jovic, Martin Odegaard, Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo and Takefusa Kubo.
According to AS, Real have now also identified Erling Haaland as a possible solution to their future goalscoring concerns. The 19-year-old Norway international has scored 18 goals in 11 appearances for Red Bull Salzburg so far this season, including four in the UEFA Champions League, and is one of the most sought-after teenagers in world football.

Haaland has been compared to the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marco van Basten and is reportedly seen as a viable option for Real with a reported transfer value of about €12 million (R198 million), although Salzburg are likely to hold out for at least three times as much.
