With the January transfer window about two months away, Spanish giants Real Madrid are reportedly preparing to sell one of their highest-earning superstars come the turn of the year.
Winger Gareth Bale has long been linked with a move away from the 13-time UEFA Champions League winners, but his exit from the Santiago Bernabeu now seems to be getting closer and closer.
Before the 2019/20 season got under way, the Welshman was moments away from joining Jiangsu Suning in the Chinese Super League before the deal collapsed at the final hour.
AS has now reported that the 30-year-old is finally on Los Blancos' exit list – the club had previously been reluctant to let him go, despite manager Zinedine Zidane's poor relationship with the forward.
Real are said to be planning on selling the Wales talisman in the upcoming January window after yet another disagreement between the club and player.
Bale, who picked up an ankle injury during the recent international break, personally requested that the Spanish giants make his medical records private, with his agent Jonathan Barnett later confirming his client's request.
"If every citizen's medical reports are private, why should Gareth's be public?"
Bale seemed to turn things around at Real at the beginning of the season, but after being left out of Los Blancos' UEFA Champions League squad before he went on Wales duty, he is believed to be angry with the club.
It now appears an exit from the Bernabeu for the former Tottenham Hotspur man is imminent, although it remains to be seen where his future could lie.
