Los Blancos had a night to forget after falling to a 1-0 defeat to newly promoted Mallorca on Saturday evening.

After starring in Real's last league encounter, Hazard was not available for Saturday along with Gareth Bale, Luka Modric and Toni Kroos.

However, a number of Spanish publications claim that the Belgian's absence was due to the birth of his fourth child late on Friday night.

Zinedine Zidane, however, felt the injuries was no excuse for his side's display against Mallorca.

"The injuries are not an excuse," he said, according to Football Espana.

"We have enough players to cover for injuries, and those players have to show they are to step up.

"We need all of the squad able to play when called up."

Los Blancos will now shift their attention to Tuesday's UEFA Champions League encounter against Galatasaray.
