If he was one of the best young players in the world going into the 2024 UEFA European Championship, by the end of the tournament, which La Furia Roja won, the Barcelona native ascended to becoming one of the best players on the planet.
This sentiment has been further validated following his nomination for the 2024 Ballon d'Or award.
Being categorised as one of the 30 players in contention to win the prize makes him the youngest player ever to be nominated for the prize at 17 years and 53 days.
As per Sport, he breaks the previous record set by Real Madrid's new superstar Kylian Mbappe seven years ago.
The Paris native was 18 years and 293 days old when he received his first nomination for the award in 2017 after winning Ligue 1, coming off an impressive UEFA Champions League campaign and securing himself a massive move to Paris Saint-Germain.
