Manchester United captain, Wayne Rooney, believes Cristiano Ronaldo has overtaken Lionel Messi as the world's best player.
Rooney insists his former teammate had an 'incredible two or three years' and it will be difficult for anyone to beat him to the Ballon d'Or this year.

"I think so," the England captain replied when asked by MUTV if Ronaldo would win the prestigious award again.
"He's had an incredible two or three years and I think he has certainly overtaken Lionel Messi now as the best player in the world.
"I'm sure it'll be difficult to give it to anyone else."
Ronaldo has started the new campaign with 22 goals in 16 games in all competitions, which is the best start in his career.
Overall, he has scored 50 goals for club and country in 2014 and also won the Copa del Rey, the Champions League and the UEFA Super Cup.
