With Kylian Mbappe said to have harnessed more power at Paris Saint-Germain after signing his new contract earlier this year, he reportedly asked the club to sign one of these four players in the recent transfer window.
It was reported last month that the 23-year-old was not entirely happy with the business conducted by the Ligue 1 champions during the off-season.
Mbappe was said to be hoping the team would be bolstered with another world-class forward, and he had four players, whom he is said to have suggested to the club, in mind.
According to the Daily Mirror, one of the names in Mbappe's four-man shortlist was Robert Lewandowski, who eventually joined Barcelona from Bayern Munich after deciding early on that he wanted to sign for the Catalan giants.
PSG were tipped to be among the many suitors lined up to sign the Poland international in the event of his Barca deal falling through.
Gianluca Scamacca, who made the switch from Sassuolo to West Ham United instead, also featured on Mbappe's wish list, as did his France colleague Ousmane Dembele, who has made a bright start to the new campaign at the Blaugrana in Spain.
Mbappe had also reportedly put Marcus Rashford's name forward, with it claimed at the time that the 24-year-old England striker would entertain contract discussions with the French side following a difficult two seasons at Manchester United.
