A Real Madrid star has given his opinion on what makes FC Barcelona's Lionel Messi so different from Juventus' record signing Cristiano Ronaldo.
10 Attackers Linked With A Move To Real In This Window
The Argentine and the Portuguese international have dominated world football for the past 10 years, and many consider the pair to be among the best players to have ever played the game.
Spain international Dani Carvajal believes both players deserve to be in the history books, and said recently that one cannot compare them because they are so different in the way they play.
"I think Messi and Cristiano are hardly comparable," Carvajal said, according to beIN SPORTS.
"They are two of the best players in history, but they are very different.
"Messi is a player who generates more football, he has better vision for a pass. The ball is always stuck to his feet, and he always finds space.
"Cristiano is a player who focuses on getting into the area and scoring. He is an annihilator. They are different but at the same time so good."
Reports: Real Consider PSG Frontman To Replace Ronaldo
Carvajal has made 200 appearances for Los Blancos in his career so far, scoring four goals and assisting a further 32 strikes as a right-back.
