The 32-year-old joined Al Hilal last year following a six-year spell at Paris Saint-Germain, but has managed only five appearances across all competitions since.
Neymar suffered a severe injury on international duty shortly after signing for last season's eventual Saudi Pro League champions, and is yet to return to action amid the expiration of his deal in 2025.
Despite being the most high-profile player at the Saudi Arabian giants, where he is the highest-paid star in the side, the team still managed to win the league last term without losing a single game.
Rumours have suggested a potential return to Europe could be on the cards for the winger, who represented Barcelona in LALIGA prior to his world-record transfer to Paris in 2017.
However, according to Fichajes, Neymar reportedly prefers the idea of heading back to his boyhood club Santos in Brazil.
The winger departed Santos in 2013 to join Barcelona, although it remains the side for whom he has played the most games in his entire club career.
