The 17-year-old has been in incredible form for the Catalan giants so far this season, having contributed to at least one goal in every LALIGA match since August.
Lamine Yamal's profile continues to rise following his historic 2024 UEFA European Championship campaign with Spain, when he became the youngest-ever player to compete at the tournament and win it.
With less than two years remaining on his deal at Barcelona, however, the club will be eager to tie him down to new terms as soon as possible to avoid losing him amid rumoured interest from Paris Saint-Germain and Saudi Arabia.
According to The Daily Briefing, the Blaugrana want to give Lamine Yamal a significant extension to ensure he remains where he is for the best years of his career.
It is claimed that, when he turns 18 years old in 2025, the Catalan club is planning to propose a renewal until 2030 after striking an agreement with his camp and agent Jorge Mendes.
The potential renewal would likely see the winger receive a big salary bump, with the teenager reportedly earning only €32 115 (about R611 000) a week at the moment.
