The 17-year-old has lit up world football's biggest stages since becoming a regular starter at Barcelona last season.
The skilful winger has gone from being a budding prospect from Barca's famed La Masia academy to being regarded as one of the best right-sided attackers in world football.
When fit, he is an undisputed starter for both the Catalan giants and the Spanish national team. He played a major role in helping the latter win the latest UEFA European Championship, winning the competition's Young Player of the Year award in the process.
His displays in Germany not only made him the youngest-ever Ballon d'Or nominee in history but also the youngest player to win the Kopa and Golden Boy awards.
Subsequently, the forward has earned plaudits from across the world, with comparisons to Messi becoming more prevalent.
