It is believed that some Manchester United supporters who travelled for the team's 1-0 win over Real Sociedad in Spain on Thursday turned on Cristiano Ronaldo with a new chant in the away end of their UEFA Europa League clash.
Ferdinand: Neville Has Ruined Ronaldo Relationship
Though he has not enjoyed a fantastic start to the 2022/23 season, the 37-year-old has appeared to have the full backing of United fans through his recent controversies, perhaps until now.
United took on Sociedad in Spain in their final Europa League group game on Thursday, with 18-year-old winger Alejandro Garnacho marking the occasion with his first senior strike.
Despite Ronaldo's role in the goal, supporters in the away section of the stadium made their feelings towards the five-time Ballon d'Or winner clear with a new chant, as cited by the Daily Express, that went: "I don't care about Ronny, Ronny don't care about me… all I care about is MUFC."
I think it's the first time I've heard #MUFC fans chant against Ronaldo. "I don't care about Ronny, Ronny don't care about me…all I care about is MUFC."

The No. 7 caused a stir last month during a 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League when he seen heading down the tunnel early after he refused to be brought on as a substitute.
Manager Erik ten Hag subsequently dropped him from the squad for the game that followed, with rumours later suggesting that both parties may be willing to cut ties in the January transfer window.
Ronaldo attempted to leave the 20-time English champions before the season got underway, though his desired exit failed to materialise after United were said to receive no concrete offers for his signature.
